Our discussion about forgiveness truly resonated with me because I have never been able to follow the commandment – “love your enemy” and “forgive those that have trespassed against you,” especially after all the pain and trauma that I have suffered.
I have also never experienced mercy nor forgiveness from society, which makes this commandment even harder to follow.
But today, I realized that the only forgiveness that matters is forgiveness from God. If I have his forgiveness, I think I can easily love & forgive my enemies and be at peace with myself.
